A Weekend at Dog Camp

Acie and Abbie were so happy to be loaded in the truck and taken to "Dog Camp" (Melanie's parents' house) for the weekend. The dogs always have such a fun time and stay busy exploring the property, helping Melanie's dad with outdoor projects or yard work, and playing in the pond. Here are some pictures to show just how much fun they had.
No matter what Melanie's dad was up to, the dogs were right there to help.

As soon as the tailgate on the truck was lowered, in jumped the dogs - hopeful that they might get to go for a ride.

Abbie just loved playing in the water from the hose and could have continued like this all day.

Take a Guess!

Just another month before we find out the sex of our baby. Our ultrasound is scheduled for April 22, but we thought it would be fun to know what friends and family think we are having.

Feel free to check back anytime to view current results. Just click on this link: http://www.vizu.com/res/Grab-bag/baby+white/poll-results.html?n=83467&cId=0

15-1/2 weeks, but not much to "show"

Recently, I have had several requests to see pictures of my pregnant tummy. Although my clothes are starting to get snug, or not fit at all, I still don't really look pregnant. I keep waiting for there to be something to "show", but since time is passing and family and friends out of town are curious I decided to post the progression to this point. Not very cute - just a thick waist so far.

Planning Underway

Since I became pregnant many people have expressed particular interest in the nursery, saying they can't wait to see what I do with it. After all, much is to be expected from an Interior Designer and muralist. I felt pressure, even though I knew the source of most of it was from me and not from others, so for a while I refused to give it much thought.

Now I am more inspired and motivated, and truly excited about the project ahead. I have decided on a theme, one that I had in mind from the beginning, and that is "A Tale of Peter Rabbit - by Beatrix Potter." The story, among the other tales by Beatrix Potter, was a favorite of mine from my early childhood. My mom still has my old books, figurines, and even the plate/cereal bowl/mug set that I used. It will be neat to pass those keepsakes on to our child.

The image above is the source of inspiration for the mural I will paint on the wall. It may not be that exact scene from the story, but something similar. The image below shows the fabric samples that I will incorporate into the bedding and other accessories in the room, such as the window seat, pillows, quilt, window treatments, etc. Now that I have some fabrics to coordinate with the colors in the mural scene I am even more excited.

Dinner with Family

Kimberly and Madison came to visit us for a few days while Mark is overseas for business, so we decided to have the Daniels over for dinner so we could all visit.
