Dinner at Dahlia's

Here are some pictures from a nice evening we had with Aunt Celia, Uncle Dennis, and Lauren at Dahlia's in Leander. The food was great and the weather was perfect. Julia enjoyed the play area and the band. Colin was not happy to be put down in the grass in the middle of all these foreign objects we call pumpkins. We thought he would like them, but were certainly wrong about that!

Colin's Eye

Like many babies, Colin had a clogged tear duct at birth. We did everything we could to help it open on its own (massages, and warm compresses, and constantly wiping the tears from his eye), but it showed no sign of improvement. We finally took him to a pediatric ophthalmologist on 10/4, who in one office visit took care of the problem. The procedure was very quick and painless, although Colin did cry from being held down. Here he is with Dr. Busse after it was all over. We are so glad we took him when we did, since the Dr. said after about 10 months of age he has to do it in the O.R. under general anesthesia. He also said he could tell that it almost definitely would not have opened up on its own.

Quinn Reunion

We had a great weekend with the Quinn side of the family in Beaumont Sept. 30-Oct. 2.
We stayed with Kolby and Lindsay in their new home, but spent the days at Kyle's parents' house.
