Water Day: Colin

Colin had a great day at school today.  The class spent the morning outside playing with bubbles, shaving cream, soap and water (to wash baby dolls and cars), sprinklers, water guns, and more.  Then they had their end-of-year pizza party.
Colin was unsure about the whole thing at first but soon warmed up and had a blast.

Mother's Day

The kids and I drove to Georgetown on Sunday morning and arrived in time to meet Kyle for lunch at Wildfire.

Julia took the following pictures:

Colin took the following pictures:
(he kept taking them!)

Colin's Spring Program

Colin's class did their Spring Program for us.  Colin did a little better than the previous performance at Christmas in that he did some half-hearted hand motions.  He also did everything in his power not to smile.  The boy loves attention but not on stage!

Neighborhood BBQ

Some friends around the corner hosted a neighborhood BBQ.  It was a Sunday evening and the weather was perfect.  We enjoyed meeting some new people and watching the kids play in the park.  We just love our neighborhood!

Julia's first 3-legged race with Amelia.  We didn't have a chance to explain to either one of the girls what they were supposed to do so it didn't go so well.

Next some adults competed so of course we participated - and won!  It was our first 3-legged race together.

Sack races were fun!  Colin wanted to do it but we just had him run along with the bigger kids.

Kindergarten Kick-Off

Right after Colin's accident at Hat Creek we were supposed to go to Kindergarten Kick-Off at her new school, so Kyle took Colin to the ER and I took Julia to the school.  I'm so glad we went because we found out which teacher Julia will have and who will be in her class.

Colin's Head Injury

Kyle had the day off so we planned a fun lunch at Hat Creek.  Unfortunately, Colin accidentally fell from the picnic table while he was eating and hit the back of his head on the concrete floor.  It is difficult to see from these pictures that anything was wrong with him, but he suffered a concussion and skull fracture and was taken via ambulance from the emergency room in Round Rock to the hospital in Temple for the night.  Colin bounced back quickly from the incident and went home the next morning.

Excited to go ride in an ambulance!

Ready to go home!
