New Cast

Today we took Colin to Texas Children's Hospital to see an Orthopedic PA who deals with OI patients.  We needed a second opinion on Colin's fracture, his cast, etc.  We were told he was healing well (cast has been on 4 weeks) but that he needs to start bearing weight so Colin got a new shorter cast and a walking boot.  This cast needs to be on for 3 weeks.  The good news is we were able to get waterproof material so now Colin can swim, bathe, and get his cast wet!  Hooray!!

Julia's First Sleepover!

Julia's best friend, Raegan, came for her first sleepover.  We picked her up around 5:30pm so the girls could play a little before dinnertime.  After dinner they had a special treat:  ice cream sandwiches!  Then they put their pajamas on and watched the CareBears movie.  Colin enjoyed having Raegan here too!

July 4th - Part II

Later in the afternoon we went to San Gabriel Park for the July 4th festivities.  The kids enjoyed the petting zoo and riding the train.  Then we met the Hildebrands for dinner at Burger University on the square.  Afterward we picked up Cherry Berry frozen yogurt and found a spot to watch the fireworks on the side of I-35.  We ate our dessert while waiting for the sun to go down.  The view of the fireworks wasn't great, but we were home within 10 minutes of them ending so it was fine with us.

July 4th - Part I

We had a fun July 4th with great friends!  We all went to Stillhouse Hollow Lake with the Noels and enjoyed perfect weather.  Here are some pics...
